About me
My name is Katie Craig and I am a qualified integrative relational psychotherapist. I earned my Diploma in Integrative Psychotherapy and Counselling at Regent's University. I am committed to continued growth in the profession, currently finalising my MA in Integrative Psychotherapy at The Minster Centre and Middlesex University.
I am a BACP registered psychotherapist with extensive experience working with a wide range of presenting problems and issues, across a broad section of cultural backgrounds. I have worked as part NHS Talking therapies for over 4 years where my specialities cover a range of family and relationship problems, eating disorders, substance and behavioural addiction, low self-esteem, self-harm and suicidal adiation, sexual abuse, domestic and narcissistic abuse, sexual dysfunction, cultural and racial trauma, depression and anxiety including social anxiety, chronic pain and fatigue, disability, ageing and physical illness and bereavement. I also have considerable experience working with women's health on menopause, infertility, pregnancy loss, post-natal depression.
Before becoming a psychotherapist, I worked in public law and regulation, mediating and adjudicating cases against public bodies and institutions. Alongside this, I worked as a therapeutic yoga teacher internationally for over 10 years. An important part of my experience gaining in the world of therapeutic yoga was my work with special groups, including special needs children, cancer and heart disease patients, as well as those suffering a range of mental illness. My role as a psychotherapist integrates my experience working with vulnerable groups, that has proved to be the cornerstone of rising passion, skill, deep intuition, foresight in helping others. I am to do this through holding a therapeutic space that is not only highly supportive but sparks curiosity and richness, whilst embracing authenticity and diversity.
